Over the years, I’ve seen way too much TV and heard and seen a lot of TV commercials. Praying the Rosary is a better solution for many situations.

“The pause that refreshes”… (Coca-cola 1929, the Rosary is a life-refreshing pause)

“Reach Out and Touch Someone” (AT&T, with the Rosary we can reach out and touch Mary).

“The quicker picker-upper” (Bounty, the Rosary can pick me up quick)

“The antidote for civilization.” (Club Med 1982, the Rosary is a better antidote)

“Let your fingers do the walking.” (Yellow pages, and a discription of praying the Rosary)

“Just do it.” (Nike, and also a good encouragement to pray the Rosary)

“Don’t leave home without it.” (American Express, keep a Rosary handy because Padre Pio says it is “the weapon”)

“It’s what your right arm’s for.” (Courage Tavern Ale, a better use for that right arm is to pray the Rosary – but your left arm is just as good)

“Say it with flowers” (FTD / Interflora – we give Our Lady a crown of Roses)

“When you care enough to send the very best” (Hallmark, there is no prayer more precious to Mary than the “Hail Mary”)

“Because I’m worth it.” (L’Oréal, Jesus died for us because we were worth it. We should pray the Rosary because we are worth it and want to please Mary our mother.)

“Be all you can be.” (US Army – with praying the Rosary our Lady can mold us into the Children she wants us to become)

Apply directly to the forehead! …oh, guess that works better for Ash Wednesday.

I’m sorry, I couldn’t help it, really! 🙂

“The Rosary - not just for little old ladies anymore!”

“The Rosary Army wants YOU!” (to advertise the Rosary Army website ) 🙂

Rosary - The Ultimate Praying Machine

When that prayer absolutely, positively has to get there overnight

This is your brain. This is your brain while on the rosary

That’s one small prayer for a man, one giant prayer for mankind

Ask not what the rosary can do for you, ask what you can do for the rosary.

“The power to be your best”
– Apple Computer, 1990s

Instead of “Bring out the Hellmann’s, and bring out the best”
– Best Foods and Hellmann’s Mayonnaise
Why not “Bring out the Rosary, and bring out the best”

“Connecting people.”
– Nokia

“Keeps going and going and going.”
– Energizer Batteries, began 1980s or 1990s

“Let’s Make Things Better”
– Philips

“Live in your world, play in ours.”
– Sony Playstation and Playstation 2 gaming consoles
(an explanation: “As we meditate on the glory of Jesus and His Mother, we see heaven opened and are heartened in our striving to gain the eternal home.” – Pope Pius XI)

“Don’t leave home without it.” (American Express)
Another explanation: “Rising or going to bed, leaving or returning, away or at home, I have the ‘Hail Mary’ always on my lips. I am insuperable when I say it.” – St. Louis Grignion de Montfort

Meaning of “insuperable” – Incapable of being overcome.

Instead of “No battery is stronger longer.”
– Duracell Batteries
“No prayer is stronger longer.”

Instead of “Now You’re Playing With Power!”
– Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment
“Now you’re praying with power!”

“For a better world for you.”
– T-Mobile (cell phones)

“So powerful, it’s kind of ridiculous”
– 3dfx (for Voodoo 3 video cards)

“Impossible is nothing.”
– Adidas

“For successful living”
– Diesel (fashion)

“Every little helps”
– Tesco

“It’s the real thing”
– Coca Cola 1941

Instead of “Breakfast of Champions” – Wheaties
“Prayer of Saints”

“Kid tested. Mother approved.” – Kix
Definitely approved by Mom (Mary)

Both “Put a smile on, put a smile on. Everybody come on, put a smile on”
and “You deserve a break today”
– McDonalds
Praying the Rosary regularly can help get you both a smile and a break

“Like a rock”
– Chevrolet Trucks

“Pay me now or pay me later.”
– Fram filters.

“Reclaim your life…”
– Tata Safari Dicor

Both “Be all you can be”
and “Strength for now, strength for later.”
– US Army

“Be the best”
– British Army

If anybody needs an explanation of how a specific slogan relates to the Rosary, go ahead and ask. It seems to me that many marketing slogans and catch phrases are equally suited to promote praying the Rosary.

The next time you see a commercial, ask yourself "Have you prayed your rosary today?"

That’s exactly when I tend to pray it :gopray2: I love how most ad breaks on our commercial TV are almost exactly the right length for a decade :yup: :angel1:
