I am wondering about a good biography of Pope Francis. I’ve read Mark Shriver’s “Pilgrimage: My Search for the Real Pope”. It brings out how Jorge Bergoglio became the man he is now. Shriver covered mostly his beginning and the Argentinian work among some of the poorest people on the earth. Very impressive and engaging.
But I’ve seen so many book titles, such as “The Dictator Pope” and am wondering if there’s more. I realize he’s a Jesuit and no stranger to hard work and used to taking control. But is there something behind the charismatic exterior that we don’t see?
