I wasn’t sure to put this one and finally settled on this forum since I am looking for a good resource for my Youth Group going through Confirmation.

A group wishes to gift us a book that has the Saints in it, as a resource for kids in our Church (our “kids” are highschool age) going through Confirmation trying to find/pick their confirmation Saint and has asked for some suggestions on a really good one, or two:)

Anyone?

Thanks:)

Ann Ball has a book called Modern Saints I and II. You can find it at Tan books. She also has an excellent book on one of my favorite blesseds, Blessed Miguel Pro, SJ. Butler’s Book of Saints is also quite helpful.

Saint of the Day
Revised Sixth Edition
This classic best-seller has been revised and updated to include those recently canonized or beatified. The new entries include Charles de Foucald, Franz Jägerstätter, Jeanne Jugan, Gianna Berretta Molla, Louis Martin and Zélie Guérin.

The Saints and our Children

The Saints and Our Children gives not only a fresh account of some of our most familiar and beloved Saints, but it also draws out the lessons to be learned from their lives. It is therefore not just a book for parents, but is actually excellent reading for all Catholics-and may well be the most interesting Saints’ Lives the reader will ever encounter.

My favorite one so far would be “Saints Preserve Us!: Everything You Need to Know About Every Saint You’ll Ever Need” by Sean Kelly and Rosemary Rogers.

:)Thanks for your quick replies. I appreciate them tremendously!

God Bless,
Maria

Many good books have been recommended, but please don’t neglect the wonderful and free resource at Patron Saints Index! You can search by name, calendar date, patronage topics, patronage groups…
