Hello,

I am looking for resources in the area of anger management. I have heard good stuff about Dr Richard Fitzgibbon’s work with Anger and Forgiveness. Any comments?

As well, any resources in the area of increasing the feeling of Gratitude??

By resources, I mean books, CDs, DVDs, articles, blogs etc

I have already had good experiences with Gregory Popcak’s amazing stuff for couples, just looking for “continuous” improvement"!

Thanks!!!

Check with Ray Guarendi during one of his shows. I am sure he has some great suggestions for you.

I don’t know what you find on a search engine, but I have had great success with reactive attachment disorder research. I have found a support group and materials that have made a difference for us as parents.

Just my suggestions, May God be with you on your search.

Hi Skater,

You might find something useful on this site:

guidetopsychology.com/

The author is a clinical psychologist and convert to Catholicism. He draws heavily on the Catholic mystical tradition (e.g. St. John of the Cross), and emphasizes the need for continuous conversion and “dying to self.” Much more spiritual depth than Popcak’s books, IMO.

Deacon Dr. Bob MacDonald also has a tape series, “Catholic Family Values: Anger and Forgiveness,” published by St. Joseph Communications. I’ve never listened to it, but some of his other stuff is very good, so it might be worth a try.

I recommend the movie Anger Management. Although it is Hollywood, there are alot of useful things about that movie, particularly the peace about active anger vs passive anger.
