Good Catholic Books for Kindle?

I just got a Kindle, and would like to get some good Catholic books on my kindle. So far I have the following:
  • Bleeding Hands, Weeping Stone: True Stories of Divine Wonders, Miracles and Messages
  • General Catholic Devotions
  • Reasonableness of Catholic Ceremonies and Practices
  • A Treasury of Catholic Prayers
  • 101 Inspirational Stories of the Rosary
  • Pray the Rosary Bead by Bead - Formatted to Mimic Rosary Beads
 
You can get a lot of the Church Fathers for 99 cents, also St. Augustine, Thomas Aquinas and many many more writings of saints for 99 cents, sometimes free. Just type in “Catholic” and perhaps 99 cents and you should get a ton of good Catholic cheap resources for you kindle.
 
😃 I love the book 101 Inspirational Storys of the Rosary!!! On amazon you can get a book called Full of Grace. It’s about miracles through Marys intercession
 
  • The Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis
  • Introduction to the Devout Life by St. Francis de Sales
  • Autobiography of St. Teresa of Avila
  • Interior Castle by St. Teresa of Avila
Some of the writings of the Church Fathers and Doctors of the Church can be found for low prices or even free.

Search the publishers, that’s what I do sometimes:

Our Sunday Visitor,St Anthony Messenger Press,Servants Books are my usual go to.

Story of A Soul is free as well as a lot of others, some are permanently free (at least so far) and others change periodically.

There are books by Kimberly and Scott Hahn, Jason Evert, Gregory Popcack. There is the Called to Holiness series published by St Anthony’s Messenger, different authors for each book.

*G. K. Chesterton’s works are free and fantastic (Orthodoxy, The Common Man, and Heretics I hightly recommend).
*Explanation of Catholic Morals, by John H. (Henry) Stapleton
*Rational Theology, by Gordon Knight

I first read Rational Theology, and it knocked me out with how much deep sense it made to be Catholic and religious, etc. Hope this helps!
 
Amazon used to have a section with free books. Try there. It takes a while to scroll through, but it’s worth it.

Also, go through their categories of books and under Religion and Spirituality you’ll eventually get to a section with Catholic books. Browse there. (but beware, some are NOT Catholic. :()

Two excellent books I have read on my Kindle in the past year are:
  1. God’s Doorkeepers: Padre Pio, Solanus Casey and Andre Bessette
  2. Fatima for Today: The Urgent Marian Message of Hope
 
For good Catholic fiction I recommend anything by Msgr. Robert Hugh Benson. Most of his books are free on Amazon for the Kindle.

Of particular interest given the current state of our country would be “Lord of the World.”

One of my favorites is “The Light Invisible: A Priest’s Encounters with the Supernatural.”
 
“Life of Christ”- By Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen; actually anything written by Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen.
 
Non-fiction I recommend anything by Fr. Larry Richards, but “Surrender!: The Life-Changing Power of Doing God’s Will” is wonderful – at the end of each chapter are steps to [whatever the chapter was about] and a Prayer to Help you on Your way. There are also great scriptures throughout the book to meditate on.

Fiction I recommend Brian Gail’s American Tragedy in Trilogy – Fatherless, Motherless and Childless.
