I finished reading the two first chapters of “Catechism of the Catholic Church” which where needed for me to make a discussion and I am convince, that this is the church. I would like to convert to Catholicism(Christianity).

Hooray!!! Congratulations!!! How are you feeling? Do you have any questions?

well I feel confident in doing this decisions, though I am scared that I’ll do something that might get me excommunicated(bit of a stretch). my question may be: am I ready?

Hey, don’t worry about doing anything that will get you excommunicated. That basically never happens. Also, if you feel like you might not be ready, that is what RCIA is for.

Good luck!!!

Excommunicated: Do not worry about that, especially right now.
Make an appt. to talk with a Priest or RCIA Director. Continue to pray, and research.

You’re not a member of the Church…yet. You can’t be removed from something you are not fully a part of.
No worries. The Holy Spirit is calling you. Whether you take a one year process or a two-year process, clearly you are being called. And your priest and RCIA Director will assist with your assessment of when you are ready.
Those of us who are involved in RCIA will keep you in our prayers along with our own students’ intentions.
God bless you, and keep asking those questions, There are no dumb questions. I would ask you to keep reminding people that you are enrolling in RCIA…sometimes without backstory people can e a bit abrubt and harsh in responding until they know a person well through their postings. Everyone means well though.

May you be blessed!
Clare

I’m so happy for you. Use this time to learn and observe all you can. Read, watch EWTN and listen to Catholic radio. When you are in RCIA, ask questions. It may seem like a long process, but it is so worth it. Your final decision comes near the end of RCIA and you will know if you are ready. Welcome! Keep us updated with your journey.
