Good source for Sanctus Bells?

Does anyone here happen to know of a good and inexpensive source for the bronze 4-5 bell handheld sanctus bell sets that used to be so popular in the past?

I have kept an eye on eBay, but used sets tend to be rare and rather expensive. I have searched the web but sets seem to be priced at about $200-400.00.

The Pax House of Jalisco Mexico sells a lower level set of bells which would be fine, but they are still far overpriced at the price they charge for them. I have seen some really decent units with Japan and China stamped on them, but I have no idea who manufactured or sold them.

Finally, I don’t see many parishes willing to sell their unused set.

Any insight would be appreciated.

I wish I could help you; it’s such a lovely sound when the bells ring as the priest elevates the Host and the Chalice.
I would only recommend that you might like to hear the bells before paying a high price for them. You wouldn’t want to spend a lot of money and have them sound “tinny.”
Have you prayed to St. Anthony?
He might help you find something very special…

Ok, I went e-shopping just for a bit.

I did a Google.com search using some different key words.

I used sanctuary bells, church bells, and altar bells.

Here are just a few Catholic-sounding sites.

There were also more than a few Buddhist and Wiccan sites selling altar bells, but hey, you wouldn’t wanna go there, now, would you?

These folks didn’t tell their price, but were so proud of their melodious bells that you can download clips of them. They had tower bells and hand bells, but I didn’t find sanctus bells on this site: taylorbells.co.uk/pages/handbells/index.html
