Washington, DC – Senate Republicans today called for a delaying a proposed April 16 hearing on pro-abortion liberal professor Goodwin Liu, whom President Barack Obama nominated for a spot on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. Liu is a professor at the liberal University of California, Berkeley.

The pro-abortion stance of the candidate is not the reason the GOP is delaying hearings.

Also, the labeling of the university as liberal is a rather weaselly move by a news organization.

I don’t know about that. If I were to label one school in all of America liberal, it would be UC Berkly. It is like 90% hippies.
 
I agree with the poster above. The GOP is going to oppose every nominee, particularly those to federal judgeships.
 
Right, so the GOP objections are only superficial. How far would any of you get with a job inquiry if you only filled out half of the application? Not to mention, this man advocates against everything the Catholic Church preaches.

Note to Catholic liberals out there: Catholic conservatives are not the ones who have bishops telling them not to present themselves for communion.
