Is anyone here familiar with Jeff Cavins’ ‘Great Adventure’ bible study? If so, what do you think of it? Our parish is considering using it. Thanks!

I haven’t heard of it, but I’ll bump you back to the top to give others a chance to see and answer:)

Yes!!! Thousands of us in the Twin Cities area are familiar with the Bible Timeline, and I have yet to meet anyone who would not recommend it! We are especially fortunate in that Jeff lives here, and many of us have had him do the lecturing in person. You must commit yourselves to a good amount of reading, but if you keep up with it, you will feel at home with the Scriptures for the rest of your lives.

Besides, everything in the Church, especially the Mass, will take on new and greater meaning. I just can’t recommend it highly enough! 👍

Our year of study cost $60. (I think some parishes got it for less!), and that included one hour with one’s small group and an hour of Jeff lecturing each week. People needing child care paid an additional fee, but I don’t know how much.

This past year, Jeff taught us Matthew, and next year he will “do” Acts, and everything we learn makes more sense, because we know how it fits in the Timeline! 🙂

If you would like more info, feel free to PM me.

God bless,

Anna
