My church recently updated their website and it has brought more visits becuase of the ease of use and the functionality that it brings.

Our congregation has really embraced it and we have alot of interest because of this new site. Our RCIA really uses it.

We used Connecting Members Catholic service model.

Would you share, I wonder, how does your church help parishioners to get online and check out the church website?

I recently added a few good Catholic links on our church website, but not too many people get to our church website anyway.

I have been thinking how could we help people get online to our church’s website.

Any light to shed?

I’m glad that this new site is working for you. I am in the process of heading up a team of people to redesign the website for my Parish in San Francisco.

With more and more tech-savvy people out there today, I think people are expecting to find more faith resources online. Take this very CAF as an example! While I think central, common and public sites such as catholic.com are important, I think we must also make sure that we have a very strong focus on the Parish community and drawing people into their Parish.

While we are a universal Church, the Church is truly made possible because of the strength of its communities. St. Paul’s epistles were addressed to specific communities, and likewise we must make sure that we are continuing to evangelize in our local Church communities.

I hope the new site bears much fruit!

We have a pretty active community. Word of mouth, announcements in the bulletin. This tool is truly a great way to get members of all ages to get involved. I would check them out if I was you. so many great tools.

It’s a nice website. I think it would be helpful if you have the mass and confession schedule on homepage. The visitors probably like to know the schedule.

Our parish uses Drupal (a Content Management System).

it has, good luck to you as well. I just feel that if it has worked to draw our parish community together that others should know about this great service. Good luck in everything.
