Many of the great composers wrote sacred music based on the Catholic Mass.
One example is Beethoven’s Mass in C Major, op.86
1] Kyrie
2] Gloria
3] Credo
4] Sanctus
5] Agnus Dei

Beethoven: Missa solemnis, op. 123
1] Kyrie
2] Gloria
3] Credo
4] Sanctus
5] Agnus Dei

The Church has hundreds of examples of beautiful music written for the Mass (the Traditional Latin Mass) over the centuries. However, I can not think of one single piece of music, written since the Novus Ordo was introduced in 1969, that is worthy of praise!

“On Eagles Wings?” “Here I am Lord?” “One bread, one life?” Bring on the drums, guitars and Broadway show tunes and make sure you clap after their performance. Dear God, help us!
