So I am leaving my job to attend seminary this fall (Praise be to God), and I have been having car issues for around 2 years now causing me to drop a lot of my income on repairing my car. My CEO and I have a great relationship, as we are a small company, my coworkers are all relatively close. He came to me after finding out about my newest car problems, and offered to sell me his car for a great deal.

The awkwardness is that I plan on putting my two weeks notice in next Wednesday. I am not really sure how to approach this. Does anyone have any advice?

I would suggest, since this is a small company where you are all friendly, and you like this CEO, that you thank him for his offer, tell him you need to check on your finances and let him know soon, and then give your notice on Wednesday and tell him privately that if he still wants to sell you the car you would welcome that as you’ll need some good wheels where you’re going. But also tell him that if he doesn’t want to do so, because you’re leaving, you’ll understand.

He might still sell you the car - it might be a case of him just wanting the car off his hands and liking you enough to help.

Best of luck in the seminary!

I’ll remember you in my prayers :pray:t2::pray:t2::pray:t2:
