That sounds like it was truly a documentary, with no agenda to pound into anyone’s heads. I hope that unlike most American “documentaries” on religion, the BBC one wasn’t just a bunch of left-wing talking heads with divinity degrees going on about how Jesus was really just a nice guy who liked to make out with Mary Magdalene every now and then. Honestly, every single religious documentary I’ve seen for the past 5 years has been that. Does anyone out there do archaeological, historical and linguistic research anymore, or bother to find out what a religious group actually believes? Maybe all the scientists went to England.
