Great Evangelization at the Midnight Mass

I went to Midnight Mass a couple hours ago at a parish I don’t typically attend and after Mass there were people stationed by the doors with books about “Rediscovering Catholicism” offering them to people free of charge. I thought it was wonderful given that so many people come to Mass at Christmas who don’t the rest of the year, and seemed like a great effort to evangelize. I’m praying God uses those books to bring people to back to/into the Faith.

I thought it was such a wonderful idea that I had to share.

These was a great idea which your parish did. God willing those that attended mass were touched by the Holy Spirit. Merry Christmas

I wonder how much the books cost, as I think it was a good idea but I don’t see it happening in our parish as we would need several hundred, I would guess.

$2 per copy when purchased in bulk as part of the parish book program at DynamicCatholic.com. I know one parish in my area that did this last year. The web site also has plans in place to implement an exciting new confirmation prep program designed to keep the youth in the Church and reverse the unfortunate statistic of youth leaving the Church shortly after being confirmed. It sounds very promising!

Yea! They did that at the parish I attended too! They also announced some new faith groups they are forming. The parish I attended for Christmas Mass was my parish growing up, and they never exactly had very good faith groups or anything outside of Sunday Mass - such a good Christmas blessing. Hopefully these faith groups really take off.
