Crown of Thorns
Braid a crown out of three long (12-18") strands of bread dough. Insert toothpicks to represent the thorns all around the crown. Bake for 1 hr. at 300 degrees.
As you or a family member sacrifices or performs good deeds throughout lent remove a thorn and replace it with a flower. By the end of lent youy have transformed the crown of thorns into a beautiful Easter Wreath.
Our children love this activity.
