Hey!

Unfortunately I was unable to post in my own thread when I came home from work as it was already closed. I did not think that the posts there fully answered my/your question.

I did some major googling and found the actual words of the rite of ordination of 1968 here (sorry it’s a long link…I hope it posts okay):

courseweb.stthomas.edu/jmjoncas/LiturgicalStudiesInternetLinks/ChristianWorship/Texts/Centuries/Texts_1900_2000CE/RCWorshipTexts1900_2000CE/Rite_of_Ordination_of_a_Priest.htm

Also, I found this website where someone refutes the sedevacantist point of view (specifically the Dimond brothers are mentioned) regarding the invalidity of the new rite ( he asserts how it clearly mentions sacrifice, etc) :

catholicforum.fisheaters.com/index.php?topic=778026.0;wap2

THESE answered my question and I have passed them along to my husband in the hopes that it will help him see the error (fingers crossed). I hope you find them as helpful as I did.

God Bless!
