More sad news from India on gender selection. Note, this is not for the faint-of-heart.
…According to a study published in the British medical journal, the Lancet, about 10 million female fetuses may have been aborted in India over the last 20 years.
Traditionally, India’s patriarchal society has preferred boys over girls. Across its rural landscape an often-used blessing for daughter-in-laws is “May you be the mother of 100 sons.”…

My sister was in India this summer. One of her guides was a Muslim man whose wife was pregnant with their fifth child. He told my siste rhe was happy this baby was a boy (the other children were girls) and that he was going to force his wife to abort it the baby was not a boy. What a guy!!!

That is so sad. 😦 I’ve never understood people with their “favoring” one sex over the next, although I suffer enough from my MIL griping and poking in a nasty manner to me because I have all girls (so far). But thankfully it’s just words from her and not someone trying to kill my child just because she’s a girl.

Wow that is so sad. 😦 I pray for an end to abortion everywhere.
