Hey everyone,
I’m sure it would be different for each “marriage” and for each tribunal, but I wanted to see if anyone had anything to offer on what the grounds of annulment are. As in, what kind of things does the tribunal look at when deciding if the marriage was truly sacramental or not?
For you regulars, I posted two other times on this subject in the past month. Mom wants to get married and is still married to my dad (hasn’t gotten an annulment). She wanted to just get married in the Lutheran church (her fiance is Lutheran) because she thought that would cause less pain for my sister and especially me with the way my dad would carry on about it. I finally talked with her about it tonight when we had some time to ourselves. She took what I had to say about the state of her soul realllllly well.
This question about the grounds of an annulment was a question of hers, and I’m really curious too. I promised I would try to find some info but in my bit of research online, I don’t see anything other than the fact of whether or not it was sacramental! Well, what exactly is a sacramental marriage?!
Oh, and can anyone clarify what I think I’ve read that the process can be applied for by one person in the marriage?
Thanks for all your (name removed by moderator)ut in advance!!
