I am 16 years old and I made a very bad decision. I really want god to forgive me so I will not become pregnant. I have so much life ahead of me and I am scared. Can anyone help?

Babies aren’t a punishment for sin. They are the natural outcome of having sex. God’s forgiveness doesn’t have anything to do with whether or not you become pregnant. God will forgive you if you ask for it. Also, whether or not you are pregnant, your life is still ahead of you. If you think you may be pregnant, you need to see the doctor for prenatal care. It’s very important for your health, as well as the baby’s. Do you have an adult you can trust? If not, can you speak to someone from your parish? They should have the resources to get you help.

Got news for you, you can be forgiven of a sin and still be pregnant.

Ditto, this is true. If the OP is worried, and it turns out she is pregnant, she can put the baby up for adoption if she has to. My niece is biologically my stepdad’s grandniece, but her biological mother knew she could not take care of her, so my sister adopted her.

I myself am a product of adoption. It’s a beautiful thing. Don’t worry about the outcome. Where God wants you, he’ll put you.

As a minor we cannot help you, it is against forum rules. See your doctor and your priest and stop putting yourself in situations where you are alone with males.

Speak to a trusted adult. If you are in the US, learn about Safe Haven laws and adoption.
