Not our best season this year, but they’re my team. I have a lot of fond memories of watching Barça games in seminary with my friends there. My first Clasico, I was one of two Barça fans in a room full of Madridistas. I was drinking Estrella and wearing a Catalan flag striped jersey. Barça won 4-0, Iniesta had an absolute bomb of a goal. It was glorious. My last year of seminary was very tough, and so Barça wins were sometimes the only bright spot for me. They won the 2015 Copa del Rey the day I was ordained a Deacon, and so Messi’s goal in that is always a special rewatch. And the 2016 Copa del Rey I was having a really tough week and struggling with a lot of stuff, and I watched that one–went to extra time against Sevilla, and they finally won it in the 121st minute. I was super emotional. It was the only thing that went well for me that week.

Liverpool for Premier league,
Seattle Sounders FC for MLS (though I am angry at American sports at the moment)
And since USL keeps changing, well, everything, the Charleston Battery for my local team (although I am closer to Greenville, and Augusta doesn’t have a soccer team. They did. For like two years)
