Yes, HBO has shown it at least twice in the last few days. It’s almost as if they are trying to instill doubt about the voting results. (“If it doesn’t go my way, it must be fixed.”)

Personally, if people don’t trust voting machines, I have no problem with using paper ballots and hand counts with dozens of observers. There is no particular need for us to have instantaneous results for the evening news. But I also think most of the fears are overblown.

I watched it, but it did not seem very substantive to me.

My very first vote back in the 1960’s was cast using voting machines. But those machines were nothing more than semi-mechanical counting devices. They were not computers and had no executable programs. Maybe the technology needs to regress a little.

Or maybe we should just let Google count votes. After all, if they can track every search I’ve ever made, vote counting should be a breeze.
