I haven’t listened to them yet, but hopefully they do not use the Americanized version of latin.

There is something very undignified about the way some pronounce Domine Jesu:

Domeeenay Yayzoo (too much emphasis on the “e” and a hillbilly sounding “a” at the ending of domine and the beginning of Jesu. This is very Americanized and something you will not hear out of people from European nations.

versus

Domeaneh Yehzoo (no drawn out eeee and the “e” pronounced like the “e” in let. This is proper.

The “e’s” are proncounced like an “e” in the word, “let”, not like an “a” in bay.

I sing in the Assumption Grotto choir and Fr. Perrone regularly drills us on our pronounciation.
