Handicap access???

My dad is a fallen away Catholic, very fallen away, but he always says this in regards to any church whether Catholic or protestant.

“They can’t be a very good church if they have a handicap ramp, if they were any good they would heal them at the door.” :whacky:

Anyway, from what I have noticed is that only the remodeled churches in my area have handicap ramps.
Same in my area. I really don’t see why they are required. I don’t view the sanctuary as “public” place. Come to think of it, there was a new circular parish built in my area a few years ago and there is this winding “path” through some interior “gardens” that leads to the altar in the center. Now I see what the “path” is…it’s a handicap ramp disguised or blended into the “architecture” of the church. Doesn’t look good at all.
