Happy Birthday Papa!

[MomaMary8]

today is Pope Benedict XVI’s 85th birthday (Monday, April 16.) Happy Birthday Holy Father!!

My kids have chosen their favorite “birthday dinner” (tacos) and I will be baking a cake to celebrate his birthday. We are also offering up prayers and penance for him today, as well.
What will your family be doing?

Oh wow! Thanks for the notification, I am going to say a special rosary for our dear Pope today!

Happy Birthday to Papa Benedict!!! We love you!!! (I wonder if the Vatican would accept an e-card for him? LOL)

Yes! Happy Birthday, Papa Benedict!

This morning, before leaving home, I briefly stopped at a holy card of the then-newly elected Pope that I have on my TV stand (bought it when I went to EWTN in May 2005) and sang:

'Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday, Holy Father,
Happy Birthday to you!

May the Good Lord bless you,
May the Good Lord bless you,
May the Good Lord bless you,
And His Mother, too!’

And when I stopped by our Adoration Chapel I offered my daily Rosary as a special birthday ‘gift’ for him.

WE LOVE OUR GERMAN SHEPHERD!!!
