A very good friend of mine, who was born in Hungary told me about an ancient Hungarian custom: “to sprinkle the girls with water, to make sure that they will stay healthy for the whole year”. You can access to this cute old custom via Google (is there anything that can escape the power of the search engine?) by typing in “husvet hetfo locsolas”.
The original custom was throwing a bucketful of water on the girls.
Nowadays it is more customary to use some cologne… which is a tad better, but the poor girls will “stink” by having all sorts of cheap cologne, that the kids can afford. Oh well… “tradition is not always good”, is it? ![Winking face  😉](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f609.png)
