I learned today, at Saint Patrick’s church -
that he is the one over all Massachusetts.
His story reminds me of Joseph sold into slavery -
And then Jonah - needing a boat !
In 30 years - converted most of Ireland.
His main foe was The Druids - nature lovers.
But he was like a Saint Francis of Assisi - in 370 A.D ?
Priest said it’s down again to a mere 20 percent - in Ireland
80 percent do not go to church - that is.

And to think that the Irish saved Christianity during the Fall of the Roman Empire… when the Huns and other tribes were destroying Europe
 
St. Paddy’s day is over already and I didn’t drink a single green beer! Boo hoo, poor me. 😞
 
I took my FIL to a bar yesterday afternoon. I noticed they were serving up the green beer as a special, using some common beer and green coloring. He ordered a Guinness and a shot of Jameson, leaving the green beer for the wanna-be’s.

Green beer is for the want-to-be-Irishmen. Go to Newfoundland or Ireland for a proper drink.

I celebrated yesterday with scotch (quite unironically). We have to pray for Ireland these days. There’s a snake taoiseach.

There’s probably a way to activate the smilies (especially the man vs. computer) but I’m celebrating the small victories today!

Beautiful ducks on the lake today silver grey backs, silver white chests and brown heads with a punk rocker tuft and orange strip on the beak. off to the bird book…

I saved the page you shared from Vim and opened it. Then clicked on image and followed your instructions about pasting on a separate line.
After fussing about my inability to animate, i noticed the note from the old thread (which I now have bookmarked) about hitting enter .
I did not hit enter after pasting, just pasted in my open spot so next time I’ll try to remember that trick.

I tried enter this time and am still not activating. i’m not skilled enough for Jamal’s two screen option yet, but figuring out how to do that and drag and drop is attractive.
I think rescuing the old emojis could help to make CAF feel friendlier.
