Work, work and wedding planning. No date with the honey…my fiance is a few hours away today at work. 😭

I’ve got a dinner date with my niece and two nephews. The oldest nephew,4,is picking the menu so it should be interesting🤢

I had plans – a local café normally has a bluegrass jam on Thursday nights. But tonight they are having a special Valentine’s menu - reservations only. And even if I wanted to spend the kind of money they’re asking, I don’t have a significant other. And they are not offering their regular menu, so … scratch it.

On a less depressing note, if your parish (like my friend Lisa’s) is named after Saints Cyril and Methodius, happy feast day!

Well…I’ll get home from work and grab something to eat, grab some food for my son, pack his bass into the car, drive to the high school, pick him up from swim practice, drive him to his bass lesson, wait for him there, then get home and find something more to eat, sit down with my wife to watch “Elementary” on Hulu, clean up the kitchen, and go to bed.
Pretty much like every day that’s not Valentine’s Day, in other words. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Finger-painting a Valentine’s Day craft with my toddler and then cleaning her and the entire house because it’s gonna need it 🙃

Getting ready for bed here on the other side of the Atlantic… thank God tomorrow’s Friday.

Still not certain Valentine is a Christian celebration. But if it is then I dedicate it to Sts Daria and Hrisant (she was a pagan worshipper, him Christian, he convinced her she was wrong, they both died buried together for the love of Christ, and in Him we are all completed, and so they loved each other perfectly).

Aw man. Bluegrass is so much better than Valentine’s Day. Sorry bro

I baked some cakes in Valentine-heart-shaped pans.

And I remember to say those three little words that are so important in a marriage:

“You’re right, dear!”

(or is that four words?)

Not really. Hopefully I’ll start my new prayer schedule.

I thought the 3 words were “I love you!” And the 4 were “I love you too!” 😂

The wife and I are celebrating the 31st anniversary of our first date tonight (we flew in a Cessna to an Ultimate Frisbee tournament in San Diego). We’re having a romantic dinner at home. I’m making a demi-glace which we’ll serve with a prime cut of meat.

I’m doing nothing other than working and wishing anyone one I speak with a Happy “Saint Valentine’s Day”

Guess I got me a date? But I dunno.

It’s complicated man.

Peace to all
