Hard line stance

Much is made on the Catholic Church taking hard-line stances on issues such as abortion. I have some questions for everyone on here.

Is there a current issue that you feel your church has made a hard enough stance on?

Is there a current issue that you wish your church would take a harder stance on?

Is there a current issue that you want your church to back off some?

We can discuss each other’s issues later, but let’s see how this goes.

I generally approve of the Episcopal Church’s stands on issues such as war, the environment, immigration.

s there a current issue that you wish your church would take a harder stance on?

Abortion. Unless indeed one could say that since the Episcopal Church (at least our Executive Committee) has a pro-choice stand, this issue falls into category three!

Is there a current issue that you want your church to back off some?

Not unless abortion counts. But I don’t want them to “back off,” I want them to reverse their position altogether!

Is there a current issue that you wish your church would take a harder stance on?

I trust in the Holy Spirit to guide the Catholic Church as promised by the Redeemer. However, I would like the Church to discipline theologians and priests who publicly dissent from the moral teachings of the Church. Furthermore, I think Catholic politicians who are proudly pro-abortion should be cautioned by their Bishops; those who persist to call themselves Catholic and promote sinful behaviour should be disciplined accordingly.
