Has anyone ever heard this man? I have listened to his “Open Forum” call-in show a few times. He sounds like he is WAY out there. Any opinions?

I bought a book by him around 1993

LOL. I remember that. I came across his radio show one night in 94. He claimed he found the evidence in the Bible that the world was going to end. I would tune in to his show from time to time that year to listen to his explanation, quite amusing it was. I think he said that it was going to happen in September of that year.
I never tuned back in to hear what his excuse was.

He is way out there, but it’s amazing how many Protestants believe some variation of his major thesis, which is that the Church Age has ended and that organized churches are evil.
And it’s amazing that Protestant radio stations carry his programs instead of telling him to get out of town.

Protestant radio stations will put many such preachers on the air because these have the money to pay for it. Once in a while a local station will put on such a minister with a disclaimer before and after the program that the station, its staff and management are not responsible for the opinions, views and statements expressed therein.
Amazing: if what is said is in line with the station’s mission statement then it’s preaching the inerrant, divine, inspired word of God. If what is said is contrary to the former, then it’s labeled opinions, views and statements.
Thank goodness for EWTN, Relevant Radio and the others proclaiming and professing the one true faith of Jesus Christ and His Church.

My husband used to be a DJ for a Christian radio station, and they aired what they called Shouter Shows. These were taped church services from “full gospel” churches that consisted mainly of incoherent shouting and riffs of organ music. But the churches paid to have their services aired, and so the station aired them, even though they probably turned off more people than they turned on. OTOH, I’m sure the shut-ins from those churches were grateful to be able to “join in” with their beloved church family.
