This statement is blatantly false. The Church is neither against, nor has it warned anyone against, the Harry Potter Books, Movies or the Theme Park. A very few church people have told people that these books are evil. BUT, to date, not one single person that has made such a “warning” has actually read the books…

Only someone that is ignorant of what those books actually contain, and is fanatical, could possibly believe that there is anything evil in them.

If they are evil, then so are C.S. Lewis’ books.

The Harry Potter series teaches that good prevails over evil; that evil is wrong, even though it entices people; that working hard to combat evil is ALWAYS A GOOD THING, even it it costs you your life; and that in the end, those that are evil WILL receive eternal punishment.
But I thought magic always = evil… except in LOTR and Narnia isn’t how that logic works? lol

Magic is always bad???

Look at cinderella. There is a version in every culture of the entire world. Infact, it is sometimes called the fable that defines what a culture is. (for instance differiating one african villiage from another). In the story the girl always has a positive magical transformation (and in some cultures it ends badly)…still every culture has this story. Therefore it is utterly incorrect to state that magic is never good…when infact the most universal fact in the most universal story is “good” magic.
