ok, this is the third and final thread about harry potter. in the last two, i expressed how sad i was that i was about to finish the 7th installment…now, however, i am still sad, but am also spiritually happy. this is because i keep the message of harry potter close to my heart. now, before i go on, this is the point in my last thread, i believe, where someone claimed that “harry potter is simply mocking the qualities of the trinity”. thats a bunch of nonsense. well first of, nothing can come close to every quality of god. to say this is to say that every story that shows love is “mocking the trinity”. harry potter just helps magnify the fact that love is the most powerfull thing out there. [for all you who claim harry potter is all about saying that “magic is might” heres your sign. there is actually a whole section in it where it is explained all are equall, and magic is not “might”] that love is all lasting, and never ending. where others fail, love picks up the torch to lead the way. and ask yourself, what is god? pure love. * you see? the books show that love, god, kindness…are all powerfull. that magic is not. all are crated equal. one last thing this gos out to the harry potter fans out there: you and i know that there is nothing wrong with harry potter. rise to the defense of this most magnificent series. you know what must be done.👍*

ok. is no one posting because they finnaly realize my point? or does no one care? hmmm…seriously though if you have any reservations about harry potter, post a response. i want to help you understand the series better, so you to can take part if the enriching journey!👍

Nope, I think the HP debates are going away for quite some time. You might try the Dead Horse society, though.

actually my first thread want a debate at all. i was just talking about harry potter, and it got attacked for “mocking the trinity”. it wasnt ment to get to the point where i would actually do this. i was just trying to point out where the people who posted negative on my first thread were wrong. like i said, this is my last thread about this. i just wanted to clarify things a litle bit.

Harry Potter is a great BOOK. As you can tell by my user-name, I am a big fan. But I think there comes a point to where when it come to an ‘obsession’ such as one has towards Harry Potter books, one needs to step back and take a look at how much credit one is putting into the books. Does it overtake your life? Does your emotions hang on the world that JK Rowlings created? If it does, then maybe that person needs to get some balance into their lives.

Harry Potter is great. I love the Christian themes in the books. But honestly, I don’t stake my life on it. If it comes down to Harry Potter or Our Lord, who do you think would one have a better bet on?

I’m just saying…God Bless.

I hate when we’re not being fed and have to do it ourselves, because you don’t know what’s healthy and what’s not. I wish I’d discovered CAF at your age. Before that, even if I was Catholic and actually learning more, at the same time, I had compartmentalized it and was in love with the glamour of evil, even if I wasn’t actually particularly awful (if I do say so myself).

A friendly warning: Harry Potter is lovely (I like the first three best), but the Internet fans are crazy. Be very careful about your fandoms and your 'ships if you want to get further into things.
