For years Muslims have been saying that Allah is the word for GOD. Then just recently some Muslims decide Christians were not allowed to use the word allah and the Catholic Church was trying to callenge:

Allah Not An Accurate Translation For God, Say Islamic Experts

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 21 (Bernama) – Seven Islamic experts who attended a forum organised by the Institute of Islamic Understanding Malaysia (IKIM) here Thursday to discuss the use of the word “Allah” as a replacement for God, were of the view that the translation was not accurate.
 
It is a foolish activity (exercise) by the malayan Muslims. I do not know what has caused to pass such a law, unless the christians were abusing Allah. Also, it is not understood why they wanted to use the name of God as Allah because here on this forum, we see many Catholic posters telling us that Allah is not God, that Allah is different to God, that Muslims do not worship the same God as the christians.

If this is the sate of affairs here on the forums, then it may be worst in Malaya. The christians may be preaching similar wrong (bad) things there in Malasia. The Muslims do not like that. Catholics say that Allah is a false God, and such rude things. So somebody had to act to stop such evil.

Personally I am not in favor of forbidding any one using the word Allah for their God. There is no harm. So the matter canbe settled easily if the Christains announce that their God is Allah and none else. That their God is Allah. Then all will be well. They will not use bad words for their God and nobody will have any problem.

The Muslims will not be able to move against the christians. If they will do anything, that will be wrong. Will any catholic please tell me that the Christians in Malaysia believe that their God is Allah?? I will be happy if any christian here will say that his/her God is Allah. Will any one please dare say that his/her God is Allah??

According to Quran, The burning of mosques and temples and synagogues and churches is illegal. It should never happen.
 
Of course Allah is my God. But not all of use believe that this means that we are worshiping what is depicted in the Qur’an. “Allah” is simply the noun for God in Arabic. It is Muslims who have additional claims about this word - that it is a proper name (like Steve, or Bob, or Farid), that it is only suitable for Muslims to use it (even though Christian Arabs who originate in the Peninsula like the Ghassanids and the Lakhmids used it before Islam, and all Arabic-speaking Christians use it, whether they are ethnic Arabs or not).

I will use Allah if I pray in Arabic, and if that makes any Muslim angry, then they can also get mad at their prophet for not speaking a language that did not already have Christians speaking it before he got his revelations. 😉 But I guess that would mean that Muhammad was somehow less than perfect, so Muslims can’t accept that…

If Allah is your God then that is the end of it. There is no problem for you to use the word Allah for God.

Similarly, the Malayan christians, if they believe that their God is Allah, they can use the word Allah. No harm. The malayan Muslims have no copyright for the word 'Allah".

It appears that they have enacted some law for many other words too , not to be used by non-Muslims. That is silly. I cannot understand why they do that. It appears that some Mullas from Indo-Pakistan must have visited the Malayan Muslims and taught them these bad (foul) things.
So it is another addition to the muslim bigotry in the name of God i.e. Allah.

The christians could respond by reserving. the word “God” for themselves and forbid the Malayans to use the word God in any book or newspaper.
 
Muslims? Angry? when did this development take place! LOL 😃
 
I pray for those Muslims that are so hate filled that they have to attack.

For those Muslims that claim to be a peaceful religion: COME OUT AND CONDEMN THE ACTIONS OF THOSE MURDERERS ACROSS THE WORLD!!!

If you actually start doing this as a whole, more people will believe that your religion is a peaceful one.
