Has anyone ever felt a persistent call to pray for a celebrity or known person?

I have occasionally had a Mass said for a celebrity with a known name, but fortunately we have the option nowadays of just requesting the mass intention via the Internet with a credit card and having it sent off to the missions, and no one asks or cares if it’s for Robin Williams or whoever.

Many celeb names are shared by people in the general population anyway, so parish staff shouldn’t assume that the guy asking for a Mass for Robin Williams doesn’t have a buddy or uncle named Robin Williams who’s no relation to the celebrity. I went to school with a guy who just happened to have the exact same name as a major political figure of that time - no relation, no physical resemblance, completely different ethnic and religious background, but same name, spelled the same way. I always figured he must get awesome restaurant reservations in Washington with that name.

She’s certainly a “celebrity” in liberal circles. I pray for the head of Planned Parenthood, always thinking that God can when He wants make another spectacular conversion like that of St. Paul.
I have prayed for those stars like Tom Cruise and John Travolta duped by Scientology. So sad.
I don’t watch much TV or even see movies lately so I never know who is a celebrity these days. I do pray for politicians, especially those who are putting up a good fight for pro-life.
