Hi all,

I stumbled upon an interesting website recently and wondered if anyone knows anything about it.

The site is www.radiantlight.org and it is an apostolate started by Elizabeth Wang, a Catholic artist in the UK.

Her art is pretty amazing: it gives us a vision of what’s going on spiritually during Mass. She’s written some books (which she says are the results of private revelation – which means that we need to treat it as such) which describe her inspiration for each painting.

If you haven’t been to the website and are interested, click on the “Art Gallery” link and look at “The Mass: From Beginning to End” and “The Mass: Through the Eyes of Christ”

Neat stuff, and was wondering if anyone’s heard anything about her…

Looking forward to your thoughts!

Regards,
JP Augustine

Positively breathtaking!! Normally I prefer the hard lines and piercing gazes of Byzantine icons, but this is art that truly allows someone to become embraced by the holiness of the Mass and the Rosary…those are the only series I’ve looked at so far…good stuff!!!

I purchased the poster that has the Mass images from beginning to end, and also purchased two of the books on the Mass, including the one that describes the Mass from Christ’s perspective.

Haven’t had a chance to read them yet, but the imagery is beautiful and quite touching…

The thing I love about this work is that it helps me get a feel for the sacred dimension to the Mass. I wonder whether it would increase the level of overall reverence among people attending Mass if they had images like these in their minds…

P.S. How did you insert that image??

I love this one, and it helps me think about the Church Suffering and our work of service on their behalf…

HOLY SOULS MOVE CLOSER TO THE LIGHT**
Some who die in the love of Christ still need to be prepared and purified before they can enter the bliss and glory of Heaven. These ‘Holy Souls’ of Purgatory are assured of their salvation. They accept this purification willingly. And meanwhile, they remain united in prayer with the whole Church. At every Mass we are one with them, and we pray for them. “And we, with our unveiled faces reflecting like mirrors the brightness of the Lord, will grow brighter and brighter …” 2 Co 3:18.

Elizabeth Wang lives and works in UK, near London. Her paintings are divinely revealed to her. Typically she spends hours praying before the Blessed Sacrament before the image and the colours are given to her by the Holy Spirit.

Elizabeth uses her art as an instrument of Evangelisation and Renewal. She recently exhibited her latest works at the Notre Dame French Church, in Leicester Square.
