Has anyone experienced parish clustering/closures/consolidations?

No I have never experienced that and I hope I never do. My Aunt did. Her Parish closed along with another one and they are both merging/consolidating and building a new Church. However their Parish Priest was just arrested on Child Pornography charges in upstate New York. Please pray for the parishoners, they have gone through so much. They are heartbroken.
