Has anyone had a Bath in Lourdes?

I just came back from Lourdes, I stayed in Lourdes for 2.5 days. When I arrived at the Lourdes train station I already had a very holy and peaceful feeling. When I was doing the Marian Procession during walking I felt so touched that I wanted to cry. I was not sure why but maybe the love of Mary or holy spirit touched my heart.

The weather was so cold and especially the Bath Water, I was trembling and shaking very seriously when I took off the clothes and volunteers clothed me with that cold white cloth, and even when they put me into the water I was just shaking vigorously.

During my praying in grotto, I prayed and told Mary that I have come, I told her that I love her so much, and asked her what else She wants me to do. I heard her saying in my mind: “Be obedient, and Help all the people who are in need.”

Now I came back from Lourdes and trip of Vatican and other places, now I felt I am different than before. I felt I am healed Spiritually. I really felt I suffered much and too broke before going to Lourdes, but now I felt I am a Whole and complete one.

I was originally going to Lourdes for asking to heal me physically for my little illness, but seem now I am healed spiritually and have real Joy in heart.

Anyone had a Bath in Lourdes and had the similar experience?

When I was 12 I had chronic asthma (this was before the drugs that really make a difference now, and which were available just a few years later).

I went on a bus trip to Lourdes put on by the diocese of Shrewsbury for kids with disabilities. Being 12 I was shocked and embarrassed at even being included, and when I met my fellow teenage travellers with CP and thalidomide I felt very uncomfortable indeed.

However that trip opened my eyes to kids with disabilities, and to how normal they actually were.

I did go in the baths at Lourdes, and was dunked by 2 burly french guys. It was a spiritual experience, and it moved me deeply. My asthma wasn’t cured, but my eyes were opened.

And 2 years later we got ventolin!
