got a copy of the Dead Sea Scrolls Bible?
I did not realize the scrolls had been put together into such a book. I would love a copy, but wanted to know people’s opinion of it before I buy it.

Pax Vobiscum 🙂

there is an on-line resource for translations and to view parts of original manuscripts, for scholarly use, since they should not be handled. I am sure somebody here knows how to access. You are no doubt aware that the dead sea scrolls are not the entire bible, and that many are of non-canonical books and other writings.

puzzleannie, 🙂

The ‘Dead Sea Scrolls Bible’, I am aware, is not a complete Bible, and that there is an extensive collection of non canonical books among them. I am mainly interested in the biblical text, although it would be interesting to view the others as well, from a purely historical context. Apparently the scrolls contain fragments of the deuterocanonicals, including one of my favourite books, Tobit. There is apparently evidence to show these books were sacred scripture, and if nothing else, it would be nice to be able to show people this, when they start questioning the deutero’s.
Having said that, it would be great to hear from anyone who has actually read the book, to view their opinion of it.
Thanks for your help, and hopefully someone will see your post and be able to give me the link you mentioned.
Pax,
