Has anyone one here ever been on an acid trip?

Before I begin, this question is NOT an inquiry about me wanting to use LSD/DMT, etc.

I’m curious to know if there has been anyone on here who experimented with it, and later denounced it.

I’m curious to know if you had the feeling of “being one” with everything and stuff like that, achieving very complex knowledge of stuff you had no business knowing, and how did you snap out of the different psychological perspectives once the drug wore off?

I’ve heard many people completely change their philosophical outlook after going on an acid trip, so I find it encouraging to know that some still remain with the teaching of Christ even after going through such an experience.

Did acid and shrooms more times than I can count. With that being said I’ve had more religious experiences off of drugs in mass or at adoration.

Drugs are awful unless administered by a licensed professional in a safe setting.

I did stuff before I was catholic. I don’t know anyone who does drugs and is catholic.

Here’s the thing. Acid doesn’t make you feel at one with everything. It honestly made me feel like I was the only one and everything else was completely different. I thought I was in on a great big joke that no one else understood. Shrooms too.

I did change my outlook on life but I was sixteen when I started. I think I could’ve seen a movie and my outlook would’ve changed dramatically too.

My ex brother-in-law took acid as a teenager, once, apparently. He hated the way it made him feel. Thank GOD, that he stopped!!

When coming off almost any psych drug, you do not “snap out of it.” It is called withdrawl and it can be very painful.

There’s no physical withdrawal from lsd or shrooms. They’re non addictive. But the effects of the experience linger because they’re traumatic.

There’s a tendency for Hollywood and the music industry to glorify acid and shrooms. The thing is they’re not all that. You don’t learn anything new on the drugs. You just think in a disordered way so that you might remember something old in a different way. Like maybe your bathroom could remind you of lime juice which reminds you of your friend Cindy who once giggled and you thought she was laughing at you and then you’ve spent a few hours wondering why you don’t love yourself and why captain beefheart is yelling about an octopus eating dough out of a polyethylene bag is fast and bulbous

Basically listen to trout mask replica by captain beefheart and you kind of know what acid is like

It’s the musical equivalent of stepping on Legos while barefoot

No. I have more respect for myself and for my Creator than to do that.

I have been offered acid and shrooms multiple times. I always said no because I felt that my mind was already enough “out there” without giving it chemical help of that sort. I’m also not a big fan of breaking the law as it could have serious economic consequences for me, let alone moral.

At this point in my life I feel confident that any “breakthrough” I might make while on chemicals, I could also make on my own through more legit means such as Jesus. I barely even drink alcohol socially any more, just because I rarely feel like it.

No, I’ve never experimented with that. One does not have to do drugs to have profound experiences; it’s entirely possible to have an experience whilst abstaining from drugs. If I want a profound experience, I simply meditate. I’ve had some incredible experiences through meditation.
