I just finished watching this Danish production on Netflix. I enjoyed it.
In English it means The Lord’s Way.
It tells the story of a family whose father is a priest in the National Church of Denmark. For 250 years, there have been priests through the generations in the
family. His wife is a teacher and they have 2 adult sons.
One son goes to Nepal to hike with a friend and ends up being befriended by
a Buddhist monk so he is introduced to the Buddhist religion, but he remains a Christian.
The other son is a military chaplain and is married to a woman who was not raised in a religious family and is uncomfortable with anything to do with God.
When the son returns from Nepal, he has a girlfriend who was married to a Muslim
man. She does not practice Islam.
So there are all these different religions and the main character struggles with God and his sins, but he believes in the Church and helping his congregation know
Jesus.
There are many subplots with all the different characters and the different religions, but each person is looking for meaning in their life through their faith,
through their family, through their job.
It was 2 seasons and provocative and poignant.
A nice show to watch during the pandemic.
