Has God Rejected Her if

Firstly, no, God has not rejected her. God sent His only son to die for her and He loves her. He wants nothing but good for her.

Secondly, when we are faced with suffering, we cannot know whether or not God has intended the suffering as temporal punishment for sin. We offer the suffering to God, and offer ourselves to God for His protection.

Due to man’s fall through Adam, sin was brought into the world. We now all suffer the effects of sin in our lives. We all suffer from sin. It is not important whether suffering comes from God (temporal punishment), from the Devil, or from another source. It is only important that we embrace God.

It sounds like your friend needs two people to help her through this: a) a priest, and b) a lawyer.

Quick correction – she isn’t a friend.
And I agree that a priest is needed. And lots of prayer.

I don’t agree completely with your statement that it doesn’t matter
whether our suffering comes from God or from the Devil.
You see, if it is from the Devil, it is going to be for the purpose
of causing the Christian to suffer horribly and to believe that God has
rejected her. If it is from God, for the good of the believer,
despair will not be the final effect.
And yes it is always crucial to always embrace God.

After 2 and a half years of horrific unemployment (on top of already
serious psychological problems) I lost my own Faith for several months
starting last year. The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy and The Rosary are tools
which have helped me regain it. It is still very weak, but it has returned.
And, thank the Lord, I have a job again. It is precarious, low-paying, but thank
God it helps me pay my bills and buy food.

But we cannot know where the suffering is from, so in that sense it’s source is unimportant.

If it is from the devil, we should embrace God, who overcomes the devil.

If it from man’s sin, we should embrace God, who has conquered sin.

If it is temporal punishment from God for our own sins, we should embrace God, like a child who does not like to be disciplined, but still loves the parent doing the disciplining.

We cannot know the source of suffering, but the appropriate action is always the same.

I agree the appropriate action is always the same: embrace the LORD.

Not to be difficult, but according to theologians, it would be more correct
to say,
“We cannot ALWAYS know the source of suffering…”
