The mass-shooting game Hatred has been removed from Steam, the biggest digital gaming download site.
Described as a “genocide crusade” by its creators, Hatred features a lone sociopath who must explore a range of environments shooting civilians and police officers, while gathering extra weapons. The only motivation is to kill and keep killing.
First announced in October, the game has attracted widespread condemnation. Software company Epic Games, which distributes the Unreal Engine used to develop the title, quickly asked for its logos to be removed from the trailer.
I haven’t really looked too much into this story, but it seems like this is what the creators of the game wants. A deliberately tasteless game, whose sole purpose is to get attention. It really doesn’t even look like a good game to begin with. How shallow can the devs be.
I would also like to point out that this is a little hypocritical of steam to a degree considering stuff like postal is there, but at least postal is over-the-top and silly
