Have Protestants ever read the book "Imitation of Christ"?

I was just wondering if non-Catholics ever read “Imitation of Christ”.
If so, what do you think about it verses the bible?

IIRC, Wesley translated it - there have been several translations of it into English by Protestants (sometimes with the omission of book four).

So the answer is definite “Yes”.

Yes. I read it sometimes for Lent.

considering it is the most widely sold book of all time after the bible, i am sure many protestants (including myself) have read it. it is a fantastic book and a great compliment to the scriptures.

No, Wesley never translated it. It was first published anonymously in Latin in 1418.
Thomas Kempis is the author,
Williqm Atkinson and Margaret Beaufort, mother of Henry VII who did the fourh book.
It was written by a monk, and was intended for the convent.
