Have you ever wonder why with all the religions of the world, it’s the Catholic Church that’s more attacked in all sides? Certainly, Satan is so enraged that he wanted to destroy the Catholic Church in so many ways but he can’t–and never will be able to do so?

Praise God for His promise of protecting the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church!

I hope this dissertation from our Lord helps clarify the reason for the ongoing, relentless persecution of the bride of Christ.

Matthew 10:16-42
"Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Beware of men; for they will deliver you up to councils, and flog you in their synagogues, and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear testimony before them and the Gentiles. When they deliver you up, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say; for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. **Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death; and you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. ** But he who endures to the end will be saved. When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next; for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel, before the Son of man comes. "A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master; it is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Be-el’zebul, how much more will they malign those of his household. "So have no fear of them; for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. What I tell you in the dark, utter in the light; and what you hear whispered, proclaim upon the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father’s will. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. So every one who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven; but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven. "**Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s foes will be those of his own household. He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and he who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. ** He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for my sake will find it. “He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me. He who receives a prophet because he is a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward, and he who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. And whoever gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he shall not lose his reward.”

It could be more geographical, due to its central location. Catholics roots are not isolated on an island or protected by a mountain range. In one aspect that is the reason why it can spread, but it has no geographical defenses.

Yep, but this war is spiritual. And we should be on the offensive always for victory is already ours in the Lord!

i think there are other religions and denominations that might disagree that the catholic church is the most persecuted (the mormons for example think they are the most persecuted), but i don’t want to get into that. Christians and the Christian church are persecuted because Jesus did not come to bring peace but a sword. paul also tells us that we are the aroma of Christ. to the ones being saves we are the fragrance of life, to the ones perishing we are the stench of death. seems like if people “smelled like death” i would want to push them as far away from me as possible also.

Since all of Christianity is by its very nature (or ought to be), in opposition to many secular world values it appears that it was our destiny from the very beginning to have the “via crucis” if we adhere to the principles of our beliefs.

Persecution is not exclusive to Christians but because of the size of the groups contained within it, society/culture influences it and is influenced by it - as a result we become a lightening rod for opposing values . 🤓

Consider this:
Exactly 33 years to the day prior to the great miracle of the sun in Fatima, on October 13, 1884, Pope Leo XIII had a remarkable vision. When the aged Pontiff had finished celebrating Mass in his private Vatican Chapel, attended by a few Cardinals and members of the Vatican staff, he suddenly stopped at the foot of the altar. He stood there for about 10 minutes, as if in a trance, his face ashen white. Then, going immediately from the Chapel to his office, he composed the prayer to St. Michael, with instructions it be said after all Low Masses everywhere.

When asked what had happened, he explained that, as he was about to leave the foot of the altar, he suddenly heard voices - two voices, one kind and gentle, the other guttural and harsh. They seemed to come from near the tabernacle. As he listened, he heard the following conversation:

The guttural voice, the voice of Satan in his pride, boasted to Our Lord: “I can destroy your Church”.

The gentle voice of Our Lord: “You can? Then go ahead and do so.”

Satan: “To do so, I need more time and more power.”

Our Lord: “How much time? How much power?”

Satan: “75 to 100 years, and a greater power over those who will give themselves over to my service.”

Our Lord: “You have the time, you will have the power. Do with them what you will.”
No. I do not wonder!
