Have you ever worked in an office with gay people?
What did you believe about that situation?

I’m not sure what there is to believe about it. Some of my coworkers are gay or lesbian. It’s part of who they are just like their race or religion. It doesn’t affect their ability to do the job or their personalities. What is it you really want to know?

I think Random nailed it. I have some co-workers who are gay. Nice enough people, and I get along with them well.

Blessings,
Stephie

Not that I knowq of. But i know plenty of people who are gay.

I have a gay classmate…he’s a nice guy and deserves to be treated like anyone else…

being gay does not make anyone bad… they are humans just like us… and as the catechism states they need to be treated with respect… but yeah one should not allow oneself to be influenced to a state of relativism. there are several at my work place but just casual conversations & work related stuff is what we talk about…

Believe about it? If someone tells me they are gay, I believe them without asking for proof.

Yes I did.
I believe he did a day’s work for a day’s wages.

situation
I worked for ten years in the medical underwriter profession with a good friend I’ll name Mike. He was an incredible underwriter with great insight and medical knowledge, always professionally dressed, He had a great sense of humor when appropriate and the uncanny knack of calming people who called in upset on the call center.

He told me he was struggling with being gay and visiting night clubs to dance. I told him I valued our friendship and that I considered that his business. That was in the casual sex hook-up days where may of my heterosexual friends did the same thing and had “one night stands.”

Who am I to Judge?

It was a pleasure to know him. He went to acting classes he paid for himself for his grandfather promised all the grandkids and he was one, a free college education but only if they went to law school. He was always disappointed in him, Mike said which broke his heart. It’s no easy road to be gay.

(Sometimes 16 characters is excessive)
Tech Tip: Just put a string of 16 or more periods like this: ................ It will be displayed as three periods, but all that you type counts toward the 16 character minimum.

One-word replies often get a different error message: “Body unclear, is this a complete sentence?” Usually adding another word will allow it to post.
