I wanted to know if you heard of this “neo Caticumical Way” (spell?). My sister in law has been part of this for many years and It seems to be very devote to catholisim but I have my reservations… They have a seperate “Eucharist” on Saturday night about 7pm and not with they whole church… She never misses it with realization she could attend mass on Sunday. They pull chairs up around the alter… they have people talk before each reading to say what it ment to them… They way they do mass is so not what the Church would say is correct. I have been worried for year that it has “traits” of a cult it may be my lack of knowledge. From my understanding it is a teaching movement that goes back to the first ways of teaching the faith… the go through rites as if in a very long RCIA process… She is in the rite of haveing to go door to door for two hours a day to give people “Hope”. Any way I have recently become a coroporator in Opus Dei . And I truely see the blessing of everyday life and making it Holy… But I do not see tha Opus Dei ever strays from the teaching of the Holy Mother Church and the Mass is the Mass of the church. I know their are so many “movements” out there that may seem ok and catholic and deep down they have their own agendas not the churches in mind, if you know what I mean? I do know that Opus Dei is not a movement.🙂 it a way of life. Please help me and If they the “neocaticumical way” are “wrong” espciacilly the mass part, Do we and how tell the Holy See? My sister in law tells me the Popes approved it.
thanks KrisMarie
