Have you made any friends in heaven?

when we pray to the saints (to ask them to pray and intercede for us…and also to pray with us)…we approach them with respect because they are citizens of heaven…

but are we allowed to look upon them as our friends?
will we be able to be friends with them in heaven…

what about the dying people and holy souls in purgatory that we pray for…will they be our friends in heaven too?

do any of you already think of any of the saints as a special friend?

I rely on my friends in heaven! The souls in heaven continue to love us. They yearn for us to be in communion with them in the Lord. They’re our cheerleaders, our intercessors, our brothers and sisters closest to our Lord.
Since “nothing impure” shall enter heaven, we know their souls are pure – they’re not going to hold back in loving us!
May knowing this comfort you.
 
I pray to the saints and holy angels often. So I consider them my friends. 🙂
 
I can only hope that my prayers, works, and masses for the Holy Souls have enabled some to depart Purgatory for Heaven, and I would regard them as my freinds
 
I have a very special friend in heaven. He is my beautiful little boy, Gabriel. We also have my sister Teresa and my dh’s twin brother, Christopher in heaven.

I suspect that Steve Irwin became fast friends with Saint Francis.
 
Something I picked up from Fr. Groeschel (sp?) is that I include in my morning routine a prayer that God will take any merit/indulgences I earn throughout the day and apply them to someone who needs them, especially someone who’s dying alone. And in order for Him to have something to use, now that it’s gotten cold and I’ve started driving to work, I go to the daily 0630 Mass, and then pray the Rosary in the church after Mass. If in His mercy He is making up for some of my deficiencies in recollection, I might have some friends in heaven.
 
All of the Angels and Saints are my best and closest friends in Jesus.

you only need to care the friend in the world
if there si the heaven will be also:)
