“entertainment purposes”? I will not watch dysfunctional behavior for entertainment.

I can understand if you do not wish to watch this show. I also understand that you really don’t want to keep the discussion going. So now that we know your positon, would you mind letting the rest of us continue without trying to kill the thread?

Thanks,

Tom

I’m a HUGE fan of this show! A worthy successor to the Sopranos! I never liked Deadwood nor Six Feet Under. BL is a dont miss show for me! 👍

This show just keeps getting better and better! I didn’t want this last episode to end! This season I like how they are doing little blips here and there on HBO about the family beginings. I also watched the two commentary shows that had interviews with people who used to be and who are currently in polygomous families, those who are advocates for it and those who are helping people get out of it. On the website you can read Margene’s diary of the early years. I just love this show!

Yes this show is excelent. I do think you should give Six Feet Under another chance though. It is really dark, but it has the best ending to a series that I’ve ever seen.

Catholicism made an entrance in the recent episode.
I knew something was about to blow up when Nicky made that face when she saw her son playing with a Rosary.

Yeah, but did you notice when she went to the church to confront the nun about it?? She didn’t seem repulsed by the candles, crucifix, or the statue of Mary. She almost seemed longing for it… espescially with the music that was playing. I wonder if she might find an attraction to the Blessed Mother since her own mother has disowned her…:hmmm:

I was thinking the same thing…that she was somehow longing for what she saw. And maybe that’s what makes her so angry and hostile to Catholicism.
I found myself getting angry as well with her attitude and throwing the rosary in the trash. I gasped. I purposely wore mine today ( I just watched the episode last night).

Because of my work schedule, I don’t get to see the new episodes until they air on Sunday night. I was suprised to find that I liked the show (I was avoiding HBO, over the loss of Romeand the mess that is John from Cincinnati). Judging by the mini-eps, and mini-interviews I really don’t think they are “pro-polygamy” as much as other people tend to think.
