i cast my vote with the last few posters. you’ve got a problem. he may be insulting God, who can and will take care of himself, but what about you? who’s defending you? as your husband, that will be his job. are you going to have to beg him for a little peace, or prove your case? marriage is more than “love”.
i’d straighten him out if i were you. hand him back the ring and tell him you’ll take it back when he’s ready to act his part. if he loves you, he’ll try to give it back in the midst of his shock and disbelief.
be strong and be firm. when it comes to marriage, forever is a long time. don’t act like you’re just along for the ride.
sorry if my comments are out of place. he might not recognize what difference it makes to say that. so try this also: “imagine you are at a crowded party, but no one is talking to you. a lot of people are saying your name, but every time you turn to them, they are still ignoring you. how would you feel? would you ever stop answering to your name and sit at the party ignoring everyone else?” this will get him to think about God’s constant, attentive presence. it works well with teenagers, maybe you can enlighten your fiance.
