Tomorrow night is the first night of RCIA. While I was born and raised Catholic and have recieved the sacraments of baptism/reconciliation/eucharist, and marriage, I was never confirmed…until this coming Easter vigil 2006, God-willing. 🙂

Which is all good and everything, but here’s the BEST news: My husband is coming with me…he says he feels “drawn” to the church. :getholy: He still has some questions, but the RCIA director said that’s ok, he can start and if he still has doubts or feels he needs more time, he can always wait and recieve the sacraments next Easter if need be. I’m so excited at this change that’s come over him with this acceptance of the church. I remember us fighting over me wanting to use NFP and now he’s just as an enthusiastic proponent of it as I am. I guess the Holy Spirit has been working overtime on him! Anyway, I thought I would ask for your prayers as we start this process tomorrow. I’m really excited and trying not to get my hopes up too much, but I’m having dreams of my husband and I getting confirmed together on Easter. Oh! I’m so excited…:bounce:
Sorry to be rambling on, folks, but any prayers you could whoosh our way would be much appreciated. Thanks so much all. 😉

I am so happy for you and your hubby! I am the RCIA co-director and teacher in our parish and am thrilled at new members wherever they are. My prayers are with you!

Congratulations to both of you. I was just checking out the forums before saying a rosary this evening, so you get five decades of prayers offered for both of you as soon as I finish this message.

God bless, John

Like you, I was born and raised Catholic. I too have recently started RCIA class. I felt I needed to “bone up” on the faith. What is especially neat is that my 29 y/o son asked if I would mind if he accompanied me. Like I would mind!! I was secretly praying for him because I noticed his sense of “wandering”. So pray for us too!

I alreasy got my sacraments Baptism and Eucharist, noe i just need to be confirmed. so that will be in 2006 God willing. So we already had our 5th meeting yesterday. Well you will be in my prayers.
