Healer?

Does anyone know of someone who God has given them the true act of healing? My sister is dying of cancer and a miracle is her last hope. Of course, we do accept if God wants to bring her home but until He does I will pray for a miracle. Anyway, I hear from time to time people refering to a healer, does anyone know one who is living today?

A word of encouragment for you, your own parish priest is a healer:

Jas.5:
[14] Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;
[15] and the prayer of faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

Of course, as you said, it may be God’s will that your sister be with him in heaven, but we really don’t need any special healers when we have the Sacraments available to us.

I don’t know of any one person who has this gift, but as a cancer surviver, I can tell you the value of your prayers. The Lord listens. He is the utimate healer. Do you know the Divine Mercy Chaplet? I wish I did when I was sick. Pray it with your sister and have faith. My prayers are with you and your sister. Look into the Annoiting of the Sick from a Priest. Thank you both for your prayers, they are very appreciated. We have had masses said for her as well as her parish priest came to her home and gave her the blessing for the sick.

Do you know of any prayer chains at your parish or other parishes? Is there an adoration chapel where you can leave your intention for your sister’s healing? Is there a particular saint to whom you can offer a novena–one meaningful to you and/or your sister? Just a few thoughts and suggestions.
